ACEPHAP hosts AIM MNCNH Advocacy Consortium partners meeting to align priorities with TEAM-OB/NEO program

The Africa Centre of Excellence for Population Health and Policy (ACEPHAP) hosted the AIM-MNCHN Advocacy Consortium partners meeting from 28–29 September 2026 in Kano to review advocacy progress, share lessons, and align priorities with the TEAM-OB/NEO programme. Partners from ACEPHAP, Pathfinder, MWAN and CCSI developed an updated Theory of Change, Results Framework and work plan to guide future advocacy and policy engagement. The meeting also emphasized evidence informed policy, stronger political commitment, strategic communication, and sustaining existing partnerships and advocacy platforms to improve maternal and newborn health outcomes.

ACEPHAP’s Director attends 78th World Health Assembly

Prof. Hadiza Shehu Galadanci, the director of African Centre of Excellence for Population Health and Policy (ACEPHAP) Bayero University Kano and AlignMNH Steering Committee Member has last month, attended the 78th World Health Assembly.

Prof. Hadiza Shehu Galadanci is scheduled to speak at the 2023 GoalKeepers event during the 78th United Nations General Assembly on September 20, 2023. She has received global recognition from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for her innovations in improving pregnancy care and reducing maternal and newborn mortality.
