ACEPHAP Undergoes International Review for Program Accreditation

The Africa Center of Excellence for Population Health and Policy (ACEPHAP) at Bayero University, Kano, recently underwent a rigorous international accreditation process. An assessment team from the Agency for Public Health Education Accreditation (APHEA) visited the center on November 11, 2024, to evaluate the quality, relevance, and impact of the Master's in Public Health, Nursing and Policy (MPHNP) and Masters in Maternal Child Health and Policy programs.

The APHEA team conducted a thorough evaluation of ACEPHAP's facilities, curriculum, faculty, and student support services. The aim was to ensure that the programs meet the highest international standards in public health education.

Professor Hadiza Galadanci, Director of ACEPHAP, expressed confidence in the center's ability to meet the accreditation standards. She highlighted the strong support from Bayero University and the center's commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and community engagement.

The successful accreditation of these programs will further enhance ACEPHAP's reputation as a leading center for public health education and research in Africa. It will also provide opportunities for increased collaboration with international institutions and organizations.
